Privacy

This page explains what Selective Practice Tests collects, why, who else handles it and how to have it removed. We keep it short and collect as little as we can.

What we collect

  • When you sign up: your name and email address.
  • While your child practises: their answers, writing, the time spent on each question, and their scores.
  • When you buy: what you bought, the amount and the date. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.

We do not ask for a phone number, address, date of birth or school.

Children

Accounts are opened by a parent or guardian, using the parent’s email address. The only information about the child is the first name shown on their results (which you can change on the Account page) and their practice results.

How we use it

  • To sign you in, mark papers, and show results and progress.
  • To email sign-in links and purchase receipts.
  • To improve the questions, using results with names and emails removed.

We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or use tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie keeps you signed in.

Who else handles it

We use these services to run the site. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • Netlify: hosts the website.
  • Neon: stores accounts and results in its database.
  • Resend: sends sign-in and receipt emails.
  • Stripe: takes payments.

Some of these services store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and Singapore.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and your child’s results while the account is in use, so progress is not lost. If you ask us to delete your account, we confirm the request by email and then delete the account and its results within 30 days. Purchase records are kept for as long as the tax law requires.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

Use the request form to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account. We will come back to you within 7 days.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us through the request form first. We will come back to you within 7 days and try to put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update this page and email account holders.
